the disappointment of job hunting

The  daunting task of job haunting is no longer news to kenyans, it has became part and parcel of of their everyday activities, even with the advancement in technology and the possibility of online job application things are no as easy as they seem,  the online platform provides opportunities for networking and possible job links, but the issues stills remains a pool of application with the potential  of employers not giving feedback, thus resulting in frustration and endless  application.
unemployment has driven most youths to early marriages, unplanned pregnancies and suicide.

I was speaking to a friend of mine who has been job hunting for 9 years until he called it quit 2 years ago, he has now resorted to cyber services instead and made peace with fact that jobs in kenya are scarce or never to be found. another a masters graduate has resorted to selling milk for a living not that there is a problem with doing that but you get what i mean.
According to research in Africa alone kenya is leading with unemployment rate of 39.1%, i don't know what seem to be the issue is it the kind of education and curriculum we have, the careers we choose in campus that are not available out here, shallow methodology of teaching, or the job market is just full.
don't mean to discourage those still in school but my advice would be don't depend so much on white collar job, having an extra skills is essential out here such as web designing, freelance writing, photography events management among others, because with this you can start your own business.
with that being said hope and persistence are a good virtue to possess in this day and age of job hunting.
